I think there is a little pb in the column wrapper in kmail....
In fact it wrap automaticly at the column number 80 even if you specify to cut at the 130 th...

May be you already have patch to correct it ...

PS:  I am currently trying to download the new version kde2.1 so may be I will find the solution in it
