a little oddity i discovered yesterday; don't know if it happens
anywhere else, but top occasionally reports a kmail process that is
using >98 percent of the processor, after kmail is closed. sometimes
this is labeled kmail, sometimes kdeinit, in both cases up top in
top. i've tried to recreate it; best i can do so far is to say that
it seems to occur when there has been a cut/paste operation into a
kmail message. (i've also noticed that the kde clipboard seems a
little flaky in some other respects, occasionally inserting a piece
of random text instead of that which i seek to have pasted, so this
could be something caused by the clipboard.) i'll try to track down
the circumstances that always cause it to happen.
