Doing a few tests, this looks like user confusion, and not a bug. In text editors we \
are used to turning wordwrap on and off without affecting the file. In Kmail, when \
the file is saved to Drafts or sent, it is saved/sent in whatever form it was last \
viewed - if wrapped then the text is hard wrapped, if unwrapped it stays unwrapped.

So always make sure you save and send your emails unwrapped.

Maybe there could be config options to send with hard wrap or not, in addition to \
wrap on/off default for viewing, and the wrap column. Then you could compose with \
wrap on so you could see what you were doing, but the recipient would be able to view \
it soft wrapped to their preference. Nice but not vital. \
