Summary: Changing Shortcuts for 'next' 'previous' message do not
affect shift-next or shift-previous.
Product: kmail
Version: 1.9.1
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
ReportedBy: dbs stonekeep com
Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
When using the Settings->Configure Shortcuts to redefine some of the navigation keys \
(I've redefined the Left and Right 'prev' 'next' functions to Up and Down arrow, \
which I find more intuitive), the option for selecting multiple messages is still \
bound to the old keystrokes, and the Configure Shortcuts menu has no way of changing \
that. In fact, to select multiple messages, shift-left and shift-right still select \
multiples, while up and down move the pointer. Only one of hte selections changed.
Note I am not railing against the default keyboard layout for kmail, that is a choice \
the developers have made. But a function redefinition should be possible and \
complete. _______________________________________________
