Now after a reboot it suceedeed to finish downloading the mails from the same imap \
server, and now the preferences doesn't freeze. But this wasn't the first occurence \
of this bug (yesterday (at 2005-12-24) I reformatted, reinstalled my whole system \
becouse of this bug) so I assume it to be reproducible. \
