Summary: Kmail crashed with signal 11 SEGV when closing the
second your index is out of date window
Product: kmail
Version: unspecified
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: crash
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
ReportedBy: James_McMechan hotmail com
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.4.4 (gentoo 3.4.4-r1 ssp-3.4.4-1.0 pie-8.7.8)
OS: Linux
My system was running very slowly due to copying video files.
I fired up kmail to check my mail and clicked on one of my mail folders that should have had mail.
I saw the blank window and was impatient and thought no mail had arrived so I clicked on a second folder
The dialog box about index is out of date poped up at this point so I thought I had mail in the
second inbox... then a few seconds later another dialog box poped up over the first about index is out
of date on the second folder.
When I clicked on the top dialog kmail crashed.
When I tried to restart kmail a dialog box "KMail - KDE The Crash Handler" came up with bugs.kde.org
which I can't select from the dialog box or copy to the clipboard. Claiming that kmail had crashed
with signal 11 SIGSEGV.
A second box popped up claiming that kmail was already running and that I should not run two kmails
at once, and I clicked exit.
