Summary: sender identity property of folder is ignored by "new
                    message" toolbar button
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.8
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: peterl avex co uk

Version: 1.8 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "b" , SUSE 9.3)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 20050117 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.4-21.7-smp

New in kmail 1.8
The sender identity can be set in folder properties but a new mail created using the \
"new message" toolbar button ignores the setting. The "Message -> New message" menu \
or the ctrl+N short cut uses the correct sender identity as in the folder \
preferences.

To reproduce, create multiple sender identities, assign an identity other than \
default to a folder, click on the "new message" button on the toolbar observe the \
sender identity in the composer window. Return to the kmail window and select the \
"Message -> New message" menu item or press ctrl+N. Compare the sender identity in \
this composer window to that in the first one. \
