Filtering by "is in addressbook" of non-existent or empty headers (tried with From: \
and other headers) works fine here (KDE 3.4.2).
Please check, if the message is put into the inbox anyway, if no other filter \
matches. So your addressbook filter doesn't match, but the message isn't moved \
somewhere else explicitely. You may want to have a look into the filter log (via \
Tools -> Filter Log Viewer) to find out more details about your concrete problem.
Last but not least, try to upgrade to KDE 3.4.2.
