When signing a message with kmail using s/mime, the settings of
"include-certs" in the gpgsm.conf are overwritten by the parameter
passed to gpgsm by kmail with the value 1.

this results in not sending any intermediate certificates (as used by the free thawte \
emailing CA) and therefore, the signature is not recognized as valid.

when I use gpgsm from the command line to sign a file, the value for "include-certs" \
from gpgsm.conf is used. Therefore I assume, that kmail passes the parameter to \
gpgsm.

this is a part of my gpgsm log taken with kwatchgpg (date/time cut off):
