Summary: kmail will not sign messages
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: jorgp bartnet net

Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.3.3 20040412 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.3-r6, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6)
OS: Linux

1) kmail never asks for pass phrase anymore
2) kmail gives a popup when trying to sign a message
signing failed: pipe broken

3) If I use inline opengpg I get a different error
the signing operation failed for an unknown reason.

I have my signing key setup
I have used both builtin gpgme and external one 0.4.7
both do the same thing. Also, kmail wants newpg 0.9.6, there is no such thing. 0.9.4 is newest.

I tried again once I started kwatchgnupg
nothing shows up in kwatchgnupg log either.

If I do this from commandline:
 gpg --clearsign test.txt
it works and asks me for pass phrase
