Hmmm... 

Well, if you have opened a folder and click on it again, I guess the folder 
gets reopened. In the case of IMAP that means that new e-mail gets visible, 
so for me that is 'fetch new e-mail', I guess in a programming way it isn't. 
Sorry for the misunderstanding here.
