You are working with an alpha version in heavy development ....

You can disable it for individual folders, although not in a comfortable 
manner, I agree there. Still, it is possible, unless you have thousands of 
folders. Search and replace in your kmailrc will help, if you have more 
disabled than enabled folders. I realize that is a workaround, but a more 
comfortable gui for this wont happen within the 3.3 time frame. We are in 
feature freeze now.

You can now. This was added a few days after the alpha was tagged, I believe.

The connection broken errror is unrelated and we are working on making KMail 
react more gracefully to that.

Again, you are working with the first alpha of a release that is three months 
away. Please keep reporting bugs and giving feedback, but I fail to see the 
point of this additional email. We do read bug reports, we do reply to them, 
and we do fix them.
