Honestly, I don't know the type of this imap server.
Sorry, but what do you mean with prefix?
Just for clarification how to reproduce this bug: 
Open KMail --> Now I see my imap folders (Posteingang, inbox.lock, inbox.pop, 
saved-messages, trash). Now I can enter any folder (by clicking the folder 
name) except this inbox.lock folder. When I click the inbox.lock folder, kmail 
instanty crashes.
When I view the imap folders via webmail, I can see all the folders except 
this inbox.lock folder. Seems to be that this inbox.lock folder is existing 
at the very beginning (@login) and then disappears. Kmail maybe wants to open 
this folder which is existing not any more an then crashes (just an idea...).
