Due to a full hard disk KMail could not write the index file when I was
deleting some messages and quit. I understand that this is a pretty severe
condition and was expecting to either loose some mails or a lot of inbox
information (mails from subfolders re-appearing in inbox etc.)

Upon the next start, KMail notified me it would have to regenerate the index
(fine). After that not only were many mails that I had moved to other folders
back in my "Current" folder (which is where all my mail goes by default), but
also all messages deleted after Feb 10 reappeared. Since I regularly empty my
trash folder and compact all folders, I wonder why that happened. Shouldn't
deleted messages be completely purged once the trash is emptied and folders
are compacted?
