Summary: Last line of outgoing mail gets chopped if it doesn't
have a newline
Product: kmail
Version: 1.5
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kmail@kde.org
ReportedBy: john@landahl.org
Version: 1.5 (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.2.2
OS: Linux
The last line of an outgoing message is getting chopped (completely removed from the \
message) if it does not end with a newline. I frequently type a quick signature \
(e.g. "- John") at the end of my messages without pressing Enter, which means I've \
probably been sending out signature-less messages for a long time... I finally \
noticed that this was happening today when I saw the entire last line was missing \
from a message I sent to a mailing list (in this case I provided no signature at all, \
and neglected to press Enter at the end of the last line). \
