I compiled it with all tools but without the examples, simply because I didn't 
exactly know what is needed to compile kde.

Your machine is much faster than mine. But I think the discussion on how much 
time it takes to compile or which machine is faster simply leads to nowhere.
My point was (and is) that I do not have the resources to compile kde from 
source more often than once all two or three months. And I am not very glad 
about that. You told me to ask my distributor to release precompiled packages 
more frequently. I will do so! (btw: thank you for this hint!)
You are doing a great job and I understand that it is not easy to develope and 
- at the same time - deal with user support matters, which means to tell 
people that the "bugs" they found are no bugs or are already found or even 
worse: are because of their old/"wrong" installation. No easy job! ... and 
very often complete waste of time. 
I think you should rename bugs.kde.org to feedback.kde.org and allow people to 
simply post how cool kde, kmail and all the other stuff is ;-)
