Do you mean POP3?

What do you then intend to do with the messages on the server that are left 
there after downloading?

Download them again from a different client? But then different clients get 
more or less messages, dependant if they were first or later. I don't 
consider this really useful.

If you don't like some messages at all, you can use what in KMail is called 
"POP filter". If you want to have deleted messages deleted on all clients 
together, it might be better to make Domino support working the way IMAP is 
implemented in KMail and not the way POP3 works. The clients then _only_ 
display what is also on the server. I don't know much about the capabilities 
of the Domino protocol however.
