As the IP address will anyway be inserted by the mail server (and can't 
be faked) it's nonsensical to fake the hostname. Anyway, in KDE 3.1 you 
will be able to define the hostname which should be sent to the server. 
I guess that's what you wanted.

Because we have the obligation to produce messages which comply to the 
RFCs. If you want to you can most likely overwrite the Date: header 
with a custom header (like the X-Mailer header). I didn't try it but it 
should work.
