I am not aware of any change in that function from 2.2 to 3.0.

But the feature is completely useless, since every spammer that sees 
such a message will see that it is faked (contains User-Agent: Kmail / 
hasn't got the right format / etc pp )... As such, it's downright 
dangerous since it fools people into the believe that it could reduce 
spam...
