Package: kmail
Version: Kmail: 1.3.2 (using KDE 2.2.2 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: Red Hat 7.2
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Upgraded from Red Hat 7.0
I have upgraded my Linux OS from Red Hat 7.0 to Red Hat 7.2. I have choosen KDE as \
my desk top environment.
It should be noted that Kmail in Red Hat 7.0 launched just fine prior to performing \
the upgrade to 7.2.
After the upgrade was completed:
When pressing the mail client icon on the kde dashboard a dialog box come up saying \
that Kmail crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV). I have read the previous bugs \
that were closed and I do not have anti-alias font enabled and Kmail still does not \
launch.
I have also chosen to try launching Kmail from a term window and the following is the \
information that was displayed in the term window:
KCrash: crashing....crashRecursionCounter = 2
KCrash: Application Name = kmail path = <unknown> pid = 2753.
What does it mean that kmail path = unknown? Is there an undefined path somewhere in \
my KDE environment?
The following the current version of Kmail:
Qt: 2.3.1
KDE: 2.2.2-2
Kmail: 1.3.2
This bug did not appear to be found in the detail that I have described here on your \
bug report. Any thing you could do to assist me would be greatly appreciated.
Tom Reed
