OS/Compiler notes: 

When I installed my system again after a crash I copied the mail backup to the Mail folder, but forgot to \
do a "chmod -R u+w *" in this dir. Therefore the files were all unreadable when I started kmail. kmail \
started without problems but immediately started bombarding me with message boxes that "dir XXX is not \
readable". 

I have quite a lot of dirs (~100) and in the beginning these windows popped up quite fast, but after \
message window 60 or so the boxes popped up slower and slower (~5 seconds for each). The problem was that \
my system became completely unusable and I also remarked that kmail (after complaining about the last \
dir) started again with the first directory :-(

At this point I tried to kill kmail from the console which worked only partially: the kmail process was \
gone, but message windows still popuped ... :-( Finally I killed the Xserver.

I know that this bug does not happen too often and I there might be also a problem with the message \
windows (when the number >60). Anyway thanks a lot for kmail which is the best mail client I have ever \
used!
