It appears, that a few servers confuse SMTP with ESMTP.

Try attached patch or make KMail using sendmail instead of it's internal 
implementation.

Initialy KmmAil worked just wfine with the SMTP server, but now it just refuses to \
send out emails.

I get a message saying

Sending failed:
a SMTP error occured.
Command: DATA
Response: 250 <singhk@cs.tcd.ie>... Recipient ok

The message will stay .....

It just baffles me why it is happening. All other email clients work fine with the \
server. My other friends are able to use older versions of KMail to send out emails \
via the SMTP server.

I was facing this problem on the older version and thus changed to the newer KDE \
2.2.2 and thus to KMail 1.3.2. But all to no avail. I would really appreciate this \
crazy erratic bug being fixed.

I am sure I have the configurations right on my KMail. I even then rm'd my .kde \
folder and re-configured EVERYTHING on KDE. Still no help. Not to mention removing \
and reinstalling packages.
