Subject: Bug#37656: imap delete messages incomplete
From: jimd () nepinc ! com
Date: 2002-01-29 19:23:16
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kmail
Version: KDE 2.2.2
Severity: normal
Installed from: FreeBSD Ports
Compiler: gcc-2.95.3
OS: FreeBSD
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified
When viewing a large mailbox with
kmail, using imap to an imap-uw server, also on FreeBSD, when you
enter cntrl+K, cntrl+D to delete
the contents of the mailbox, often
messages are left. I have had to do this
operation up to 5 times on large
mailboxes, such as freebsd-ports when
I haven't read it for a few days and it has 1000+ messages.
This does not happen with pine, as
a comparison.
Also, quite often a message will not
delete on a single-message basis from
my inbox. If I then click on the message that did not delete, I get a
different message than indicated.
Finally, I often notice that I supposedly
erase messages in my mailbox, only to
find they have "reappeared" when I fire up kmail again. I haven't been able
to tie this to anything in particular I am
doing. I tried hitting File/Close instead of just clicking the "X" on the window, but \
can't correlate it to that.
These are minor but recurring annoyances in a really nice mailer!
Thanks!
Jim Durham
