I'm currently working on trust checking. For GnuPG it should basically 
work already. Now I have to do the same for PGP2 (it's not possible to 
get the trust info for a single key, argh..), PGP5 and PGP6 and it's 
different for all three versions. :-(

BTW, I wanted to say something like the following:
"The signature is valid, but the key is untrusted."
and
"The signature is valid and the key is marginally/fully/ultimately 
trusted." (Is a comma necessary before the "and"?)
