Why not just show the mail body as a clickable icon, much the way KMail
already handles attachments (option View > Iconic Attachments)? A KMail
setting will decide whether the mail body is downloaded straightaway or
shown as an icon below the header. A context menu will appear when the
icon is (right?) clicked, showing options (1) Delete (2) Download (3)
Save As ...
