Beats me if it would have worked with 2.2.0. I never installed that
release; I went directly from 2.1.x to 2.2.1-5.

Am I missing anything?

I haven't installed the full 8.1 release from CD, but I have upgraded
everything on my machine to the latest version, as verified against the
SRPMS directory on the mirrors. I've kept up with the cooker religiously
and never forced any installations; if there were dependency problems, I
collected all necessary RPMS into the same place and installed them
simultaneously from the command line. I don't use MandrakeUpdate for
installation, it can't be trusted, only command-line installs.
