First- let me say I love klyx.  I hate waiting 10 min to see if my doc
will compile with normal TeX.  Writing tex documents is no longer a
programming exercise for me.  And I like relyx so far-

I am having trouble with includes and inserts.  I cannot get a lyx file
to insert into an existing lyx document.  Error codes are included
below.  This may be due to a poor installation.

Actually, what I want to do is include a lyx file.  We are writing a lab
manual, and I would rather have distributed files to edit (each
chapter)  rather than a huge 250 page lyx document.  Using the straight
klyx include-file command (and variations) for including the chapter lyx
file or the lyx-produced-tex file dies.  It sees the \Lyx command and
chokes because it can't  be defined twice.

Is there a method for me to write chapters in lyx and tie them all
together easily?
I realize I could edit each chapter, export as tex when finished, crop
off down past \begin{document} and remove the \end{document} and then
use a \include{chapter1.tex} in my toplevel book document. TeX it a few
times, dvips it, and be done with iteration 1.  That wouldn't be too bad
(compared to normal Tex and wait)

This brings up that it might be nice to have a function lyx2tex for
command line conversion.

Have I missed something?  Is this a RTFM question?  Am I out of my mind?

BTW- Anyone know of a source for Solaris-KDE-Klyx install help, let me
know-  My office buddies are getting jealous.
