Subject: Bug#8463: konqueror : Should make it impossible to write a file name with more than 128 characters

Package: konqueror
Version: 1,93 (KDE 1,92 2000-08-14)
Severity: wishlist

When I tried to experiment with the bug number 8423 for creating
files and folders with very long names, I noticed that if the
filename was having more than 128 characters, I would get an
error message saying << Could not make directory [Directory name]
>>. Would it be better if when writing the file name and the
user gets to 128 characters that it would just not be possible to
add more letters to the name ?

Merci
JCP
