Opening local html files is slow, opening remote http URLs does not work ( I tried a couple
of webpages, most noticeably http://www.os.is and http://www.hi.is which are relatively simple
pages that load in less that 4 seconds on a DSL line in Netscape.

The KDE beta I'm using is the KDE2ß3 for SuSE, and I'm running it under SuSE 6.4.
I disabled my old KDE 1.x and linked /opt/kde2 to /opt/kde for full system compatibility.
