Just to inform you: The background= attribute does not exist in HTML4 for
the <td> element. It seems to be a netscape extension. I don't know if we
are going to support it in the end...

And to answer your question: Yes, we're trying to make konqueror fully
HTML4 compatible, including DOM, StyleSheets, JScript and Java. But I have
no idea, how far we will get with all of this until the release of KDE-2,
but the HTML-stuff itself has the highest priority.
