Bug ID: 299705
Severity: wishlist
Version: 4.3.60
Priority: NOR
Assignee: kdevelop-bugs@kdevelop.org
Summary: Session chooser is sorted on UUID, not user readable
"Contents"
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
Reporter: rjwgnr27@gmail.com
Hardware: Compiled Sources
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Component: session support
Product: kdevelop
When the session chooser (default KDevelop start-up) is displayed, the sessions
are sorted by UUID, which is mostly useless to the user. When searching for a
project, the useful part is the "Contents" column, which contains the user
readable, and optionally, user assignable text. Sorting on the "Contents"
column would make finding and opening sessions much easier.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start new KDevelop instance. Session chooser is shown.
Actual Results:
1. Sessions are sorted on GUID, not user readable text.
2. Clicking on the "Contents" column does not re-sort the table.
Expected Results:
1. The table would be sorted on "Contents" column, which is much more
informative to the user.
2. Clicking on the column headers would sort on the selected column.
