           Summary: Subversion commit fails silently
           Product: kdevplatform
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: unspecified
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: subversion
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs@kdevelop.org
        ReportedBy: rodda@kde.org

Version: svn head (using KDE 4.3.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When performing a subversion commit from within kdevelop, if there is a
pre-commit hook that fails, there is no feedback given to the user in the GUI,
and thus no idea of knowing what the problem is / how to fix it. You also lose
your description of the commit (perhaps the last description should be
presented again if the commit fails).

Console output from the text based svn commit command:

Transmitting file data ............svn: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: 'pre-commit' hook failed with error output:
===
trunk/playground/devtools/kdevelop4-extra-plugins/java/parser/tests/t003.java
eol style violation detected.
forgot to set svn:eol-style to native for checkout
or mangled the file between different operating systems?

svnlook: Write error: Broken pipe

svn: Your commit message was left in a temporary file:
svn: '/opt/kde4/src/kdevelop4-extra-plugins/svn-commit.3.tmp'
