As I tried to explain in comment #20, the code doesn't do what you seem to think it \
does. The testcase I attached illustrates the two cases you have. 

The KDevelop template sets up the widget as the centralWidget of the KMainWindow.  If \
you restrict the size of the widget, this does not restrict the size of the \
mainwindow itself. This seems completely correct to me.

In any case it's not a bug in KDevelop. You could start an argument with Trolltech, \
but I believe the behaviour is correct.
