seem to think it does. The testcase I attached illustrates the two cases \
you have. 

The KDevelop template sets up the widget as the centralWidget of the \
KMainWindow.  If you restrict the size of the widget, this does not \
restrict the size of the mainwindow itself. This seems completely correct \
to me.

In any case it's not a bug in KDevelop. You could start an argument with \
Trolltech, but I believe the behaviour is correct.
