As a new user of KDevelop I was trying to get familiar with things in the small. \
Creating a hello world app seemed like the perfect thing.  Inside of the new project \
wizard one of the options was "hello world application".  I selected that and let it \
create the hello world application.  I took all of the defaults.  When I debugged the \
application, I set a breakpoint before the cout of hello world and after.  As I step \
through it acted just as expected except there was no "hello world" output to the \
application window.  

Thouroghly confused I executed the code from a console.  It worked as expected. I \
then tried the "execute" option from the Build menu.  The execution of a script \
appeared in the application window and a new console appeared.  The application ran \
as expected.  I don't have any idea what is going on or what to do to locate the \
problem.  Summary, completely vanilla C++ hello world generated by KDevelop new \
project wizard displays everything as expected any time except during debug, and \
during debug it displays noting I can find.
