Summary: optional automatic breaking at main
Product: kdevelop
Version: unspecified
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
ReportedBy: cbruner quadro net
Version: 3.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
It would be useful at times to be able to automatically stop the program before things get set up and \
run. Usually when this is required it is required for the whole editing/debugging session, and of course \
the program may change during that period, invalidating manually set breakpoints.
It is possible to manually set the breakpoint at main each time the debugger starts, but as main may not \
be in the file you are working on, you must open the file where main is, find main and then set the break \
point. If you are working on dozens of projects, each having a main, this quickly becomes tedeous.
My wish is that there is an option in kdevelop to have the program automatically break at main. Some \
people may never use it, but I suspect others will appreciate it.
