Usually when this is required it is required for the whole editing/debugging session, and of course the program may change during that period, invalidating manually set breakpoints. It is possible to manually set the breakpoint at main each time the debugger starts, but as main may not be in the file you are working on, you must open the file where main is, find main and then set the break point. If you are working on dozens of projects, each having a main, this quickly becomes tedeous. My wish is that there is an option in kdevelop to have the program automatically break at main. Some people may never use it, but I suspect others will appreciate it.
