Summary: please bring back option to just create a blank unnamed
                    file without any dialog
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
        ReportedBy: rgpublic gmx net

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

After upgrading to the recent KDE version I was
confused to see that KDevelop now forces me to
enter a filename and folder in advance before
I can create a new file. This is really annoying.
You cannot simply open a new blank tab to put
something temporary in it? And it is even
more complicated than the usual SaveAs-Dialog.
Why can't there be an option for all of us who
don't need project management but just want a
powerful editor? I prefer KDevelop because of it's
file tree and MDI to Quanta and Kate. Please
bring back a simple Create->New like in virtually any
other app out there.
