The problem was that the file

languages/cpp/pcsimporter/customimporter/kdevcustomimporter.desktop

was not copied to /opt/kde3/share/servicetypes/ when make install was run.  I rolled \
back to the previous version of that file, and ran the build with the same result.  I \
then updated the file again to HEAD, ran make clean; make; su <password>; make \
install; on the pscimporter directory, and the file was installed.  Since I had \
already deleted everything in my /opt/kde3 related to KDevelop, and deleted the CVS \
image an checked out a fresh copy, I have NO explanation of what caused this problem.
