Hi,

to keep it small and simple: the trick is to change the admin directory 
and use the one necessary for KDE 3 projects.

to keep it smaller and simpler:
You can find now a package of c_cpp_reference-2.0.2 which has this 
already done. So please try
ftp://ftp.ee.fhm.edu/pub/unix/ide/KDevelop/c_cpp_reference-2.0.2_for_KDE_3.0.tar.bz2
or
ftp://ftp.ee.fhm.edu/pub/unix/ide/KDevelop/c_cpp_reference-2.0.2_for_KDE_3.0.tar.gz
instead.
