OK - I'll try setting it up on my laptop, though I'll be away for a couple of 
days, and away from any I'net connection.

Interesting comments.  I set up T'bird for a fall-back, but I really don't 
want it to be my default agent.  There are so many ways that kmail beats it, 
IMO.

Aren't we all? :-)  I understand that there are many bugs and wishes that have 
simply been impossible to fix in kde3.  Maybe we will be feeling that 
Christmas comes around again, if some of them are in Akonadi.
