Mark, I couldn't reply direct, as my messages were rejected "refused mailfrom

That could be a good idea. It's so simple that we tend to forget that it's
not necessarily self-evident.

Basically, in ~/.kde/share/apps you will find kmail, korganizer, knotes and
kabc. You may also want kwallet or some other app? Simply copy the contents
of those folders into the new computer ~/.kde and everything should work.
