Hello,

something similar happend to me, too. (OpenSUSE 10.2)
Using all disk space of the home partition...
In my case, a broken *.index.ids file somewhere
in a ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/ (disconnected) imap (sub)folder
caused the problem. I think that a machine shutdown might
have played a role.

I used a suggested command from
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71549#c26
to determine the "bad guy":
	find ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail -name '*.ids' -exec grep -Hc '^\*xV4' '{}' \; | grep -v ':1$'
and deleted it afterwards. (BTW, Thank you Tim Weber!)

Since AFAIK these files are (re)generated through kmail,
it might be also be possible to delete all of the index files...
(There's a backup anyway, isn't it?)

Hope, you'll manage to fix the problem, too!

Regards,
	Martin
