Broken conduits .. *sigh*. Also because the Zire *really* uses ContactsDB and 
CalendarDB as opposed to AddressDB and DatebookDB which KPilot writes to 
(this is a legacy of the change from OS4 to OS5 on the handheld).

The device connection is working fine from your description, it's the 
software, both on the handheld and on the PC, that isn't cooperating.
