Me too. My kmail folder, INCUDING THE HIDDEN ONES, travelled trough XAndros, 
ubuntu, kubuntu and suse93! Next move planned: suse10.1 this week end.

Do not forget the various-numerous config files! You can find Mail-related 
stuff in the .kde/share/config folder - it can save your accounts, and 
prevent duplicates.

kmail has a remove duplicate function:

folder/remove duplicate messages
shortcut is ctrl*
