BTW, while we are on this topic, one of the biggest reasons that I switched 
from Thunderbird to kmail is the integration with spamassassin (which can't 
be done with Thunderbird unless you use fetchmail/procmail instead of the 
built-in POP).  Thunderbird's built-in bogofilter (I have no idea whether it 
is based on the JMZ bogofilter used by kmail) was abysmal.  (The other reason 
is the integration into the other kontact components.
