There is a new version of this bug: kmail crashes (perhaps because of a power failure
while kmail is running). When the system reboots and kmail starts, clicking on a folder
results in all the messages in that folder immediately disappearing completely.
The cure is after kmail crashes,  restart it twice  before doing anything with any messages.
