I'm not familiar with Kgpg so I can't tell what you need to do with 
respect to Kgpg. You should check that the environment knows about 
gpg-agent. To do this run 'echo $GPG_AGENT_INFO' in a Konsole window.

Does signing/encryption/signature verification work in KMail?
