What's wrong is that some code was changed to preserve the _backup_ of the
Pilot, and so the sync now writes its changes elsewhere - at least, if
conduits run. And the viewers look at the backup database location, not
the elsewhere.

I'm aware of the problem (since yesterday) and am trying to do something
about it.
