The categories not being respected doesn't surprise me - certainly not in 
4.3.9. I'm afraid I'm going to be short about this: KDE 3.2 is tagged today 
and will be out Real Soon (tm), try KPilot 4.4.0 then (and 4.4.1 shortly 
after).
